  15. I know this post looks like the pot calling the kettle black, but...
  16. I am sick of seeing all the cross posted messages in the newsgroups
  17. I read.  Most of the messages are totally irrelevent of the subject
  18. of the newsgroup.  This seems to be a practice that has gotten much
  19. worse over the past year and I see no end in sight.  I beleive that
  20. many people are just ignorant of 'net-etiquete'.  
  21.   I have decided to do something about it.  I have a standard message
  22. made up which reminds the offender about the 'bad manners' of cross-
  23. posting messages to unrealated news groups.  I suggest you do the same.
  24. When I see/read a cross posted message I MAIL my message to the offender.  DO 
  25. NOT POST A REPLY, IT ONLY MAKES IT WORSE.  It only takes
  26. a second depending on what software you are using to read the news.
  27. Now if everybody started 'reminding' the cross posters with mail messages, they 
  28. might get the message (pun intended).
  29.   I sincerely apoligize for 'cross-posting' this message, but I feel
  30. it is relevent to all.  I would be nice if we could get a little sanity
  31. back on the net-newsgroups.  I for one am sick of seeing messages
  32. about Bill Gates the baby eater on comp.sys.ibm.pc.chips.......
  33. Lets keep the 'news' fun and interesting.
